non-library related MLA 2007 post – Tutankhamen exhibit

I went to see the King Tut exhibit at the Franklin Institute yesterday.  Aside from there really not being much there that was in Tut’s tomb, it was still really fabulous.  The thing I liked best was the relief of Akhenaten, Nefertiti, and their daughter being given life by the Aten (the sun disc god).   After studying that in Egyptian history classes and Egyptian art history classes, I just stood there slack-jawed that I was actually seeing it in person.

The mini-sarcophagus for the viscera of Tutankhamen was my second favorite–tiny and amazingly intricate…  Anyway, I promise not to post non-medical library MLA 2007 stuff after this.  🙂
